Fire Alarms
Fire alarm systems are not only a valuable addition to a building security system but in many cases is a legal requirement.
A fire safety officer is required to carry out a risk assessment to determine what fire safety measures should be adopted which usually includes a fire alarm system.
There are different levels of fire protection depending on the use of the site but typically a combination of manually operated call points and automatic smoke/heat detectors are used, with audio and/or visual devices to alert occupants should an alarm occur.
Fire alarms can also be monitored by a remote Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to achieve automatic fire brigade response.
